The Center for Translational Neuroscience (CTN) is developing an adjunct to our Human Electrophysiology Core Facility, in which we record evoked potentials reaction time, frontal lobe blood flow, and reflexes in human subjects. This stand-alone satellite will allow electrophysiological recordings of surgically excised brain tissue, including tumors. The Facility includes a dedicated vibratome, an upright microscope with epifluorescence and DIC, submersion recording chamber, dual microdrives, vibration table, dual patch clamp amplifiers and converter, infusion pump, electrode puller, stimulator, etc. Please email the Core Directors, Drs. Garcia-Rill or Hayar, for more information. As with all of our other Cores, users must be CTN members with current IRB approval for the study.
