Dr. Rosie Simmen and Dr. Frank Simmen were each presented a Plaque in appreciation of ‘their teaching and mentorship, contributions to scientific discovery, and their legacy of learning and leadership’ at the Department’s Town Hall event last December 13, 2023. The Drs. Simmen retired on December 31, 2023, after 38 years of academic service, 22 years of which were at UAMS, and have been appointed to the rank of Professor Emeritus in the College of Medicine.
