Invited Speaker

Dr. Chowdhury

Parimal Chowdhury, B.S., M.S., Ph.D., AGAF, a professor in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics, will present two papers in the upcoming 2019 Experimental Biology meeting to be held in Orlando, Florida, April 6-10, 2019. The title of the presentations are Gender specific effects on Growth, Postural muscles and Deep pressure sensitivity in Hindlimb Unloading (Other contributing authors in this presentation are Drs . Rupak Pathak, Robert Griffin, Rahul Mehta and Maxim Dobretsov), and 2018 PhUN week at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The additional authors in this presentation are: Drs. Patricia Wight, Rupak Pathak, Stewart MacLeod, Adam Carter and Nicholas Pettus.

Dr. Chowdhury was also invited by the American Gastroenterological Association to present a Poster session in their Annual meeting to be held in San Diego, California, May18-21, 2019. He will present in the session entitled “Pancreatic Cancer: Risk Factors, Biology, Diagnosis and Clinical Therapeutics II.” The title of his presentation is: “Anti-oxidants as Possible Anti-Proliferative Agents for Pancreatic Cancer”. It is an honor to be accepted by AGA since the acceptance rate of presentations to this meeting is close to 20-25%.
