Showcasing Your Research Activities
The UAMS Department of Internal Medicine Annual Research Symposium showcases the research activities and accomplishments of students, residents, and fellows under the mentorship of Internal Medicine faculty. The event celebrates the hard work of our trainees and provides a forum for the breadth of activities being undertaken within the department. Trainees submit their abstracts for selection to formally present their research projects as oral or poster presentations.
Trainees are encouraged to submit both original work that has not been presented elsewhere as well as work that has been recently presented at local, regional, or national meetings since June 1, 2022. Original work presented first at the Annual Research Symposium remains eligible for submission to other local, regional, and national meetings as well as publication.
Six abstracts will be selected for oral presentations with the remaining selected abstracts entered into the poster competition. Presentations and posters will be judged by Internal Medicine faculty. All students, residents, fellows, and faculty are encouraged to attend and participate.
The deadline for submission is March 14, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. We will notify applicants of the results of their submission by April 14, 2025. The symposium will be held May 14, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
