Exceptional Training in Both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric Residency Program is a fully accredited, general internal medicine and pediatrics training program. We provide a solid foundation in general internal medicine and pediatrics with clinical experiences in all internal medicine and pediatric subspecialties, preparing our residents to enter any area of internal medicine and/or pediatrics.
Our residents have the best Med-Peds training thanks to a diverse and complex patient population at the UAMS Medical Center, the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. We have dedicated and innovative faculty who place our residents’ training as a top priority, and fellow residents willing to support their colleagues. Whether it is at the bedside, in a conference room, or in our fully functional simulation center, residents are constantly learning and teaching each other for the betterment of our patients, our state and our nation.
