The 2018 AANS Annual meeting was in New Orleans and two UAMS residents were selected for oral presentations, Dr. Taylor Wilson and Dr. Kesley Hundley. Dr. Wilson’s presentation was at the socioeconomic section and described the characteristics and career outcomes of residents who were awarded an AANS research fellowship. Dr. Hundley’s talk was entitled “Louise Eisenhardt’s Personal Notes: how she and “Dr C” collected data and followed patients”. She presented at the Historical Section and discussed how tumor patient outcomes were meticulously catalogued by Dr. Eisenhardt. Dr. Hundley plans to continue her research on Dr. Eisenhardt and has reviewed many of her personal handwritten notes that are available at UAMS in Dr. Pait’s neurosurgical collection.
