This is what I love most about fellowship: 1. The people! 2. Dr. Morse’s commentary during didactics, 3. Great exposure to a high volume, high acuity pediatric ER
This is what I love most about Little Rock: It’s a beautiful city with easy access to the outdoors and a strong local identity (restaurants, shops, etc). It’s a hidden gem!

In my free time… : I read, run, hike, travel and try my hand as a newly minted gardener (but haven’t grown mint yet!)

I chose UAMS/ACH for fellowship because of: The people! I loved the attendings and fellows when I was a resident. The ED here is a big family who supports and cares for each other. The patient volume and acuity was also a big factor for me since I am a very hands on learner! We see not only a large volume of patients, but everything from not sick to dying and those in between.
This is what I love most about fellowship: Spending every shift in the ED, the best place in the hospital!
This is what I love most about Little Rock: The central location in the state makes it convenient to all the amazing hiking opportunities around the state! Little Rock itself has the River Walk and Pinnacle which both have gorgeous views that are essentially right down the street from you!

In my free time… : Hiking, puzzles, walking my pups
Other things to know about me: I have two ADORABLE dogs, Zoe and Henry, who also love living in Little Rock. Zoe is a Plott Hound/Australian Shepard mix who is 11 years old but thinks she is still a puppy. She loves ALL food and getting pets but pets from boys in particular are her favorite! Henry is a yellow lab who will be 9 years old this year and loves walkies, guarding the house, and his mom!

I chose UAMS/ACH for fellowship because of: I did residency here and loved it. I stayed on as an attending pediatrician in the ED and decided to pursue Fellowship to continue my education in pediatric Emergency Medicine and further my career.
My PEM interests include: I am interested in trauma, behavioral health, toxicology and teaching
In my free time… : I enjoy working in my Covid garden, working on the many home projects we have going, and listening to true crime podcasts.
Other things to know about me: I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful, feisty teenage daughter. We also have several cats (some might say too many, but we love them all) and one dog. I am very crafty. I can make a flower from almost anything and I am very handy with duct tape.

brother is in Washington DC. We get together often with all the family dogs: Boaz, Dottie, Solomon and Oliver
