PGY-1
Since our residency is categorical, our PGY-1s are included in our training program. This intern year provides a foundation to prepare residents to competently manage a wide variety of skills that are required by a modern day physiatrist.
- Cardiology (VA LR) ) –1 month
- Emergency Medicine (BMC) –1 month
- Medicine Wards (VA LR) –3 months
- Geriatric (VA NLR) ) –1 month
- Neurology (UAMS) –1 month
- Orthopedics (UAMS) –1 month
- PM&R (BHRI) –1 month
- Pediatric Wards (ACH) –1 month
- Rheumatology (BMC) –1 month
- Radiology (BMC) –1 month
- Continuity Clinics: Thursday 7-9 am Didactics or ACH Clinics
PGY-2 through PGY-4
The rest of our residency training is broken up into three-month blocks, and will contain a minimum of 12 months of inpatient and 12 months of outpatient:
- UAMS Outpatient Clinics and Consults service
- ACH Inpatient and Outpatient
- BHRI Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury services
- CAVHS Electromyography Outpatient
- Split CAVHS (Tues/Thurs) and UAMS (Mon/Wed/Fri) Outpatient
