External program moonlighting opportunities in Little Rock are available beginning the second half of R2 year (PGY3). Permission to moonlight is contingent on the following and subject to reevaluation each year:
- Resident’s performance on the ACR in-training exam (>50% or more)
- Rad Exam (>75% or more)
- Good on call performance
- Academic standing
- Procurement of a state medical license
- Malpractice insurance.
- In addition to departmental approval, GME approval will need to be done prior to the start of moonlighting.
- Final approval rests with the GME office and can be revoked anytime there’s not timely documentation, or poor academic performance.
