What are your particular clinical interests?
I am passionate about women’s health because women are foundational to the well-being of families and communities. By expanding access to health education and improving mothers’ quality of life, we can empower them to raise healthier children and foster stronger, healthier future generations. Investing in women’s health creates lasting benefits that extend beyond individuals, positively influencing families and improving the overall quality of life for generations to come.
I am interested in preventive medicine because it is an evidence-based approach that effectively reduces morbidity and improves health outcomes across populations. It is a practical and cost-effective strategy that can be applied broadly, particularly in underserved communities and high-risk populations, where it has the greatest potential to prevent disease and improve quality of life.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I chose Family Medicine as my specialty because it allows me to build lifelong relationships with patients while caring for individuals of all ages. I value the opportunity to follow patients throughout every stage of their lives and to establish meaningful connections with their families. As a family physician, I also serve as a bridge between patients and the healthcare system, ensuring continuity of care, coordinating services, and advocating for their overall well-being.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
I chose Little Rock Family Medicine residency program because I am drawn to the South for its welcoming communities, warm climate, and rich cultural diversity. The program’s location in a mid-sized city offers the ideal balance between community-based practice and access to the extensive resources of a large tertiary care hospital. It provides comprehensive training in both outpatient primary care and inpatient medicine while offering strong exposure to a wide range of medical specialties. I believe this environment will prepare me to become a well-rounded family physician capable of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Sewing and DIY projects. Cooking and baking. Exploring parks and natural sites with my beloved dog Blanquita.
