What are your particular clinical interests?
One of my passions is preventive and lifestyle medicine because I believe many chronic diseases can be prevented or better managed through education and healthy lifestyle changes. I enjoy caring for patients from underserved communities and helping them manage conditions through evidence-based care and shared decision-making. I am also interested in quality improvement and exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance primary care and improve patient outcomes.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I chose Family Medicine because it allows me to care for the whole person while building lasting relationships with patients, families, and communities. My experiences working in a rural government hospital in India and later as an Assistant Physician caring for uninsured and underserved patients in Kansas City, Missouri, showed me that great healthcare extends beyond diagnosing and treating disease. It requires understanding each patient’s cultural background, financial challenges, access to care, and health literacy. Those experiences inspired me to pursue Family Medicine, where I can combine preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, and continuity of care to improve the health of individuals and the communities they call home.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
I chose the Little Rock Family Medicine Residency because of its supportive faculty, strong academic training, and commitment to comprehensive patient care. During my interview and second look, everyone was genuinely welcoming and invested in helping residents succeed. What stood out most was that the program values not only clinical knowledge but also who we are as people and how we give back to our community. That philosophy aligns with my own journey and reminds me that being a family physician is about building relationships, serving others, and making a meaningful impact beyond medicine.
Having trained and worked in India, China, and the United States, I value caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I look forward to serving the Arkansas community, learning from my patients, and growing into a compassionate family physician who makes a meaningful difference both inside and outside the clinic.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, especially exploring historic places, not just well-known landmarks, but also lesser-known sites with rich local history. I enjoy gardening, home decorating, and organizing spaces, and I love spending quality time with my family.
