What is your hometown?
Córdoba, Argentina
Where did you attend medical school?
Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Facultad de Ciencias Medicas
What other educational credentials do you have?
After I completed medical school in Argentina, I did a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where I investigated pain management, opioids, and perioperative care.
What are your particular clinical interests?
Many of my clinical interest revolve around continuity of care and community medicine. I enjoy chronic disease and pain management, addiction and physical rehabilitation. My aspirations are to improve population health outcomes and spread healthcare knowledge by forming strong, long-lasting patient-physician relationships.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
Throughout medical school and clinical rotations, I realized that I truly enjoyed delving into all the different facets of medicine. From pediatrics to OB/GYN to internal medicine, I always found topics that sparked my interest, and I found joy in interacting with a diverse group of patients. I chose Family Medicine because it allows me to practice full-spectrum medicine and to have long-lasting patient-doctor interactions. I strongly believe that Family Medicine is the best platform to deliver preventive care and achieve healthier communities.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
When looking for Family Medicine residency programs, I focused on programs in which education, community health, research, and innovation are the main values. UAMS Little Rock goes beyond every single one of my expectations for an ideal residency. It was evident to me from the beginning (even just from looking at their detailed website) that this program was special. These feelings were confirmed when I interviewed there. The program administrators were welcoming and caring, and the residents looked genuinely happy to be part of the program. From that day, I knew I wanted to be part of such a supportive team.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Soccer is one of my biggest passions. In my free time, I love playing soccer in amateur leagues and watching my favorite team (Instituto) play. My father, my brother, and I have attended Instituto’s soccer games since I was a kid, so this is one of my favorite family traditions. I also like spending time outdoors and being active. I enjoy hiking, biking, and traveling to explore new places, particularly national and state parks. Golfing is another of my hobbies. But whenever I am in the mood to chill at home, I love watching movies, reading thrillers, listening to all types of music, and playing the guitar.
