What is your hometown?
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Where did you attend medical school?
Xavier University School of Medicine (Oranjestad, Aruba)
What are your particular clinical interests?
My clinical interests include pain management, preventive care, and procedures. I enjoy the challenge of looking at the whole picture and finding the right approach for each patient, especially since there is rarely a one size fits all solution in medicine. I am drawn to procedures because I enjoy the hands-on aspect of care, and I value preventive medicine because of the impact it can have before illness progresses.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
What I love most about Family Medicine is the chance to care for people from all walks of life. I’ve always loved stories, and every patient has one that’s uniquely their own. Taking the time to understand who they are and what matters to them is one of the most rewarding parts of medicine. I hope to build lasting relationships, advocate for my patients, and be part of their journey through every stage of life.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
I chose UAMS LR program because I wanted strong training in a supportive environment. During my interview, I really appreciated how passionate the faculty were about teaching and helping residents grow. I was also drawn to the program’s focus on having residents who are motivated to learn, support each other, and become the best physicians they can be.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Outside of medicine, I enjoy the simple things that help me recharge. I love reading, watching shows, spending time with family, and exploring my creative side through painting, crocheting, drawing, and journaling. I also enjoy going for walks and appreciating nature when it’s not too hot.
