What are your particular clinical interests?
One of my greatest passions is women’s health. I have always been drawn to caring for women across every stage of life, from adolescence through menopause, helping them navigate hormonal changes, reproductive health, family planning, and menopause.
I am also passionate about procedural medicine. I enjoy performing office-based procedures and developing the technical skills that allow me to diagnose and treat conditions during the same visit. Whether it is performing biopsies, implanting contraceptives, conducting joint injections, or completing other outpatient procedures, I appreciate being able to provide timely, hands-on care that improves patient outcomes and enhances continuity of care.
Another area that I find especially rewarding is the management of chronic diseases. I enjoy the challenge of partnering with patients to optimize chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and other chronic illnesses through evidence-based treatment and shared decision-making. Equally important to me is preventive medicine. I truly enjoy the opportunity to educate patients, encourage healthy lifestyle changes, and focus on disease prevention and early intervention to improve long-term health outcomes.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I chose Family Medicine because I love the idea of being there for my patients through every stage of life, from welcoming a newborn into the world to caring for older adults later in life. My favorite part of this specialty is continuity of care. Building meaningful, long-lasting relationships, promoting preventive care, educating and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health, and being a trusted partner through every chapter of their lives.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
I was initially attracted to this residency because of its strong academic foundation, excellent research opportunities, and robust clinical curriculum. I was excited by the diverse inpatient and outpatient experiences, exposure to a wide range of specialties, and the opportunity to care for patients with complex medical conditions from many different backgrounds. What ultimately made this program stand out, though, was the feeling I had after my interview. Beyond the exceptional training, I found a team that was genuinely welcoming, supportive, and passionate about teaching. It immediately felt like a place where I belonged, a place I felt I could call home and where I knew I would be challenged, supported, and inspired throughout residency.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Outside of medicine, I enjoy nature walks with my family, tackling house projects, and spending quality time over good food with friends and family whenever schedules allow. My current hobbies include singing (mostly during exclusive private shower concerts), dancing (primarily in the kitchen and living room), attempting YouTube-guided yoga or Pilates whenever motivation strikes, and trying to convince my garden to thrive despite my lack of a green thumb.
