What are your particular clinical interests?
I enjoy connecting and developing a relationship with patients, and this is why I particularly like Family Medicine. I would like to eventually work in a rural emergency room and to also have a panel of Family Medicine patients. I have been seriously introduced to hospital medicine at UAMS, and I must say, I think I am starting to like it!
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I chose Family Medicine because of its breadth and variety. In Croatia, I worked as the only physician for two small islands. I had to handle a wide variety of cases, and my Family Medicine training in the United States is a continuation of this path.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
I felt really welcomed here, and I really enjoy working with the diverse group of residents in this program.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Before beginning residency, I found my dog Buck near Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Thus, I like walking my dog to explore Pinnacle and other parks in the Natural State.
