Sense of Belonging
Belonging or connectedness to other colleagues plays a crucial role in job satisfaction, recruitment, and retention. Please complete the three questions about feeling comfortable at UAMS, valued by UAMS, and part of the UAMS community.
Well-Being Index
The nine-item Well-Being Index is a validated screening tool to evaluate fatigue, depression, burnout, anxiety/stress, and mental/physical quality of life in medical professionals. For physicians, an individual’s score is compared to normative data from a large national sample of practicing physicians. Evidence indicates that the index is useful not only for identifying physicians in distress but also for identifying those whose degree of distress places them at risk for adverse consequences (e.g., medical error and/or suicidal ideation). In practicing physicians, index scores also correlate with physicians’ career satisfaction and intent to leave their current practice.
