Sisira Yadala, M.D., Joins Faculty

Sisira Yadala, M.D.

Sisira Yadala, M.D., has joined the Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Yadala graduated from Osmania Medical College in Koti, Hyderabad, India, in 2007. She completed a preliminary internal medicine residency at West Lake Hospital/Resurrection Health Systems in Melrose Park, Illinois, followed by a neurology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She continued her training with a clinical neurophysiology/epilepsy fellowship at New York University.

Dr. Yadala holds numerous honors and awards. While a student at Osmania Medical College, she was recognized for distinction in physiology in 2002, distinction in pharmacology in 2004, distinction in forensic medicine in 2005 and distinction in gynecology and obstetrics in 2006. During her residency at Temple University, Dr. Yadala received the Mrs. Jerry Goldstein Award for Outstanding Research in Cerebrovascular Disease in 2010 and the Matthew T. Moore Award for Outstanding Research in Neurology in 2013.

Dr. Yadala is board certified by the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a sub-certification in Epilepsy. She cares for patients with epilepsy in the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute’s Neurology Clinic.
