Who We Are

The Department of Urology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is committed to advancing patient care, education, and research. We train the next generation of urologists through comprehensive residency and fellowship programs while providing expert evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the genitourinary system. 

Our faculty bring specialized expertise in: 

  • Urinary incontinence 
  • Male sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction) 
  • Male infertility and vasectomy procedures 
  • Reconstructive urology 
  • Kidney and bladder stone disease 
  • Urinary tract infections 
  • Geriatric urology 
  • Urologic cancers (kidney, bladder, prostate, and testes) 
  • Laparoscopic and endourologic surgery 
  • With a focus on innovation and compassionate care, we aim to improve the lives of patients across Arkansas and beyond. 

What We Do

At the UAMS Department of Urology, we provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for conditions of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Our physicians combine advanced clinical expertise with a commitment to education and research, ensuring that patients benefit from both compassionate treatment and the latest medical innovations. 

We specialize in: 

  • Urinary Health – Care for incontinence, bladder disorders, and urinary tract infections. 
  • Men’s Health – Expertise in erectile dysfunction, infertility, and vasectomy services. 
  • Kidney & Bladder Stones – Advanced surgical and non-surgical approaches to stone disease. 
  • Reconstructive Urology – Restoring function and quality of life after trauma, congenital anomalies, or prior procedures. 
  • Urologic Oncology – Comprehensive care for cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, and testes, with access to multidisciplinary cancer care. 
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery – Laparoscopic and endourologic procedures that improve outcomes and shorten recovery. 
  • Geriatric Urology – Tailored approaches for age-related urologic conditions. 

As Arkansas’s only academic medical center, UAMS integrates patient care, residency and fellowship training, and innovative research. This unique environment prepares the next generation of urologists while advancing new treatments that improve outcomes for patients across the state and beyond.
