
Dr. Jun Song, Assistant Professor of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at UAMS, brings a much-needed skill set to Central Arkansas, where the demand for specialized care in female pelvic health is high. As one of the few experts in the region trained in managing complex pelvic floor disorders, Dr. Song is committed to addressing the unmet needs of women suffering from conditions like pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, complex genitourinary fistulas, and complications related to vaginal mesh. His expertise spans a wide range of cutting-edge treatments, including vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic gynecologic surgeries.
Dr. Song’s background is as impressive as his dedication to improving women’s health. He earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology from Vanderbilt University, followed by a medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also completed his fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery, provided him with advanced training to treat complex female pelvic disorders. He is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Urogynecologic Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Song is an avid photographer and enjoys exploring new cuisines and spending time with his family in Little Rock.
