Dr. Emily Coleman hails from New Haven, Connecticut. She completed undergraduate at Swarthmore College, where she studied anthropology and biology. She attended Yale School of Medicine. She did an internal medicine year at Yale-Waterbury hospital prior to dermatology training at University of Vermont Medical Center. After residency, she spent a few years at Tulane where her love for academic dermatology blossomed.
She is a board certified dermatologist with an interest in complex medical dermatology. She enjoys the challenge of treating patients with severe connective tissue diseases, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, and autoimmune blistering diseases, among others. She also enjoys general dermatology and helping patients to feel more comfortable in their skin by treating more common conditions such as acne vulgaris and atopic dermatitis.
As a lifelong learner, she is passionate about medical education and loves working with, teaching, and also learning from medical students and residents.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching and discussing soccer, cooking, hiking, and running. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family and dog. She looks forward to serving the Little Rock community and exploring all the beauty here in “the natural state.”
