Jay M. Kincannon, M.D.

Jay Kincannon

Jay Michael Kincannon, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology with a joint appointment in Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Kincannon graduated with a degree in Zoology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1985. His internship in Pediatrics was completed at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he also completed residency training in both Pediatrics and Dermatology.

Dr. Kincannon is an active member in several national academic organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Pediatric Dermatology Society and the American Medical Association. He was the 1997 president of the Arkansas Dermatology Society. His research interests include vascular and pigmented skin lesions, birthmarks and pediatric skin diseases.

He cares for both adults and children at the UAMS Medical Center Dermatology Clinic. He serves as pediatric dermatologist at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital where he cares for the full spectrum of childhood skin disorders including treatment of vascular birth marks.

Dr. Kincannon is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Dermatology.
