Opportunities for Medical Students
Ashley County Medical Center and its clinics welcome third and fourth-year medical students (M3 and M4) from a variety of institutions, including UAMS, ARCOM, and NYIT. Opportunities for rural family medicine rotations are also available to medical students from other medical schools.
Crossett is also a host city for the fall South Arkansas Rural Interest Student Field Trip organized by Rural Health Association of Arkansas (RHAA). This is an opportunity for medical students to visit and tour several South Arkansas towns and hospitals, including Ashley County Medical Center.
