Class of 2027, Second-Year Residents

Dr. Ball is originally from New Jersey and graduated from Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine in 2016 after receiving his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University. After starting his medical journey as an EMT, he has been practicing as an Assistant Physician in both Missouri and Arizona for the last several years and is excited about his transition to Arkansas. He is enjoying the slower pace of life of the Natural State.

Dr. Booker is a graduate from UAMS College of Medicine in 2024 after receiving her undergraduate degree from University of Arkansas at Monticello. She is from Monticello, Arkansas and is looking forward to practicing medicine in her home of South Arkansas. She enjoys all things outdoors, especially fishing and hunting with family and friends and raising her chickens.

Dr. Phanord graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud in the Dominican Republic and is originally from Haiti. She has a passion for rural, underserved communities and has transitioned to Arkansas from Florida. Anne is multilingual, speaking Spanish, French, Creole Haitian, and English, and enjoys cooking her native Haitian food for a taste of home.
Class of 2028, First-Year Residents

Ali Amjad, MBBS, originally from Pakistan, is a graduate of Aga Khan University Medical College. With a passion for primary care, particularly family medicine, Dr. Amjad has worked in the medical communities throughout both the US and Pakistan. He is excited to build relationships with patients as he embarks on his career as a physician. When not caring for patients, he has recently discovered the joy of hiking, perfect for his move to The Natural State.

Muhammed Imran, MD, is a proud native of Long Island, New York and is a first-generation college graduate for his family. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from the New York Institute of Technology before graduating from the American University of Antiqua College of Medicine. Dr. Imran is excited to begin practicing preventive medicine in his new Arkansas home. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family.

Katherine McTigrit, MD, graduated from the University of Arkansas before pursuing her medical degree at the UAMS College of Medicine, receiving Honors in Underserved Primary Care. Growing up in Star City, Arkansas, she has deep roots in South Arkansas and is passionate about serving the area that she has always called home as a family medicine physician. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her new husband.
