Dr. Regel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Humanities and Bioethics. After serving in social work, Dr. Regel received her doctorate in bioethics at Loyola University in Chicago and went to serve as a clinical ethicist at Mass General in Boston. She holds multiple master’s degrees, including one in bioethics from Harvard University, one in social work from Boston College, and one in economics from the University of Houston. Dr. Regel focuses much of her time on clinical ethics at both UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She has special interests in the ethics of burn care and psychiatry.
