Hematopathology | UAMS Department of Pathology

The Hematopathology Division consists of nine board-certified hematopathologists. The faculty enjoy a collaborative environment with mutual support across all divisions, well-staffed state-of-the-art laboratories, and an excellent variety of case materials. The Hematopathology division supports the clinical and academic mission of the Medical Center, including the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, which provides extensive opportunities for clinical and translational research. The division faculty works closely with clinical faculty members to support active bone marrow transplant programs for a variety of hematopoietic neoplasms and support the internationally recognized UAMS Myeloma Center. UAMS has a strong affiliation with Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH), and division faculty rotate to provide pediatric clinical service. Along with first-class facilities including 8-color flow cytometry, coagulation, in-house molecular and cytogenetic laboratories, the UAMS Pathology Laboratories are accredited by the CAP, AABB, and ASHI.
