The Translational Pathology Shared Resource is comprised of the Experimental Pathology Core Laboratory and the UAMS Tissue Biorepository and Procurement Service. Steven Post, Ph.D., serves as director of both facilities.
The Experimental Pathology (ExPath) Shared Resource Laboratory provides researchers with centralized, comprehensive histological services. Services include tissue processing and sectioning (frozen and paraffin-embedded), tissue staining (H&E, immunohistochemical, immunofluorescence, and special stains), digital slide scanning, and pathology consultation. Jennifer James serves as manager of this lab.
The UAMS Tissue Biorepository and Procurement Service (TBAPS) is an institution-wide tissue procurement facility, charged with coordinating and overseeing the donation, processing, storage, and dissemination of tissue specimens and related data. Remelle Eggerson serves as manager of this facility.
