Dr. Neriman Gokden is a Professor of Pathology and Urology and Vice-Chair for Faculty Affairs in the Department of Pathology at UAMS.
Dr. Gokden obtained her medical degree followed by training in Anatomic Pathology residency in Turkey. She completed Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency followed by Surgical Pathology fellowship training at Washington University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis in 2001.
After completing fifth year of her residency at UAMS she was recruited by the Department of Pathology at UAMS at the rank of Assistant Professor in September of 2002. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008 and to full professor in 2013. Dr. Gokden is subspecialized and extensively published in renal pathology and genitourinary pathology. Her research interests include multiple myeloma related renal diseases and transplant renal pathology. She is extensively involved in medical students, residents and fellows education throughout her career.
