
Dr. Zaheer is an Assistant Professor in the divisions of Hematopathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She obtained her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Westchester Medical Center in New York. She subsequently completed fellowships in Hematopathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and in Molecular Genetic Pathology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York.
In addition to her clinical and academic focus in hematopathology and molecular pathology, Dr. Zaheer is passionate about global health and has contributed to educational initiatives aimed at expanding access to hematopathology as well as collaborated with institutions in resource-limited settings to advance diagnostic capacity. She is also deeply interested in integrating artificial intelligence into diagnostic pathology to improve testing accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility.
