William Bellamy, currently a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas, joined the faculty in 2005 as the founding director of the molecular diagnostics laboratory. He serves as the division director for molecular diagnostics which includes the molecular diagnostic, HLA and cytogenetic sections. Dr. Bellamy is board-certified as a high complexity laboratory director in molecular diagnostics (HCLD). His clinical activities include molecular diagnostics, hematopathology and genetics. He is actively involved in teaching of medical students, pathology residents and fellows as well as technologists and has received several teaching awards. He has presented numerous invited seminars and workshops and serves as a laboratory inspector for CAP. Dr. Bellamy has authored numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews and book chapters. Dr. Bellamy’s training includes:
