2023 Department Town Hall Meeting
The Physiology & Cell Biology Department held their annual Town Hall Meeting on December 13, 2023. Dr. Bellido shared updates highlighting growth and accomplishments of both students and faculty members, and acknowledging recent retirees, Drs. Frank and Rosie Simmen. Dr. Bellido’ s presentation was followed by a luncheon for all department members.

NIH Awards Dr. Jerry Ware and Team $606,274 to Research Cardiovascular Risks Associated with Kidney Disease
A team of three researchers at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will use a recent $606,274 grant to investigate how the body’s natural defense mechanisms contribute to cardiovascular risks for patients with kidney disease.
