Karen Dickinson, Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of Interprofessional Simulation and Clinical Skills Training at UAMS, served as co-guest editor for a special series on simulation in surgical education published in the journal Surgery. The collection brings together internationally recognized experts to address advances in surgical training — including telesimulation, robotic and laparoscopic skill development, and strategies for expanding access in lower and middle-income countries — offering surgical educators a comprehensive resource for evolving clinical practice.
