Welcome to our incoming residents for the 2022-23 academic year. We look forward to meeting you this summer!

Hometown: Little Rock, Arkansas
Undergraduate: University of Arkansas Fayetteville
Medical School: UAMS
Fun Facts: Love making charcuterie boards for holidays and celebrations!
What do you like about our program? The thing that most appealed to me as a medical student was the early operative experience and the unity between the residents.
What do you like about Arkansas: Arkansas has so much nature. It is easy to go on a quick walk or take a day trip to experience the outdoors. Also, Arkansas is so affordable which makes living on a resident salary super easy.
Why did you choose Arkansas: I fell in love with the program as a medical student and knew this was a program I would do well in.

Hometown: Spartanburg, South Carolina
Undergrad: Duke University
Medical School: University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Medicine
Fun Fact: I received my Ph.D. from UNC Chapel Hill with a research focus in developing networks-based tools for the analysis of genomic data with an interest in oncology. I hope to use my quantitative training towards contributing to our understanding of the biology of head and neck cancer.
Why I chose UAMS: The closeknit nature of the faculty and trainees was a huge draw for me for choosing UAMS. This was very apparent even after the brief interview process. Many of the residents had young families which I could tell were seen as an asset rather than a burden on the program. As a father of two this was a huge priority for our family, and we have felt incredibly supported by the program since arriving here. Little Rock is incredibly affordable, and we have been able to comfortably achieve our goal of owning our own house.
Fun Fact/Hobbies: I am the latest in a long line of ENTs with my grandfather, father, uncle, and most recently my brother represented in the field. I spend almost all of my spare time outside of residency with his wife, Elizabeth and our two sons, William Jr. and Charlie.
