Welcome

John Dornhoffer, M.D.Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Our department has assembled an excellent team of faculty, fellows, residents, and nursing staff at each of our three locations (VA, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and the UAMS Medical Center) to provide the best in patient care, residency and fellowship training, medical education, and research. Our faculty are fellowship-trained in their specialty, and we cover all the sub-specialties in our field (otology, endocrine, head and neck, rhinology, laryngology, pediatric, vascular anomalies). In addition, our faculty consistently get high scores on our patient satisfaction ratings, with six of our faculty listed in Best Doctors in America. Our faculty also publish and present at a very high level, with several textbooks and dozens of peer-reviewed manuscripts published each year, along with numerous national and international presentations and invited lectureships given annually. In addition, many of our faculty have grant funding, and we have six endowed chairs to help fund research.

Whether you are a potential patient, referring physician, or a resident or medical student seeking further training in our department, I hope you take a moment to peruse our website and provide us with your feedback.

Best,

John L. Dornhoffer, M.D.
