UAMS Invests Matthew A. Steliga, M.D., in Kent C. Westbrook, M.D., Distinguished Chair in Surgical Oncology

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine invested Matthew A. Steliga, M.D., chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery in the UAMS Department of Surgery and a tenured professor of surgery in the UAMS College of Medicine, in the Kent C. Westbrook, M.D., Distinguished Chair in Surgical Oncology during a Sept. 7 ceremony.

Multispecialty Robotic Curriculum for Residents Begins at UAMS

A new multispecialty robotic surgery curriculum for residents has started up at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

Not only does it provide surgical residents with expertise in the latest surgical technology, it uniquely allows three surgical specialties to learn from and with each other: general surgery, obstetrical/gynecologic (OBGYN) surgery and urologic surgery.
