At the UAMS/ACH Pediatric Residency Program, our mission is to produce excellent pediatricians who will make our state’s children “better today and healthier tomorrow.” Cultivating a diverse, safe, and supportive space that fosters intellectual curiosity is the foundation of our mission. We aim to provide broad clinical experiences that translate into the development of future physician leaders. We stimulate a culture of lifelong learning and embrace diversity to promote cultural sensitivity and equitable care. In doing so, we mature and advance an individual resident physician’s medical knowledge, clinical skills, and emotional intelligence; thereby, producing excellent, thriving advocates that will improve children’s health within our community.
