Intern Retreat

This three-day and two-night retreat is each September of the intern year. Attendings and upper-level residents cover services in the hospital, and the interns are allowed to escape for a memorable 48 hours! The days are filled with team-building events, activities directed at getting to know each other both personally and professionally, and free time to unwind and have fun.  For the past several years this event has been at a local 4H center in the foothills of the scenic Ouachita Mountains.  The center comes complete with a climbing wall, a ropes course, a swimming pool, a pond to canoe in, a bonfire location and picnic facilities.

Second Year Retreat

Held in April, the PGY-2 retreat is geared toward getting you ready for a career in pediatrics. With a focus on financial planning, career preparation and leadership we are still able to leave plenty of time for fun!
