The Arkansas Children’s Research Institute (ACRI) is dedicated to achieving a brighter future where medical breakthroughs allow all children to grow into healthy, happy adults. ACRI researchers are committed to this vision of the future and work every day to make it a reality.
ACRI houses excellent research programs in obesity prevention, developmental biology, asthma, food allergy and other allergic disorders, children’s nutrition, infectious diseases, health promotion, and population health. While most ACRI researchers are from the Department of Pediatrics, others are from UAMS clinical and basic science departments such as otolaryngology, psychiatry, surgery, biochemistry and molecular biology, microbiology and immunology, and pharmacology and toxicology, providing opportunities for strong collaborative teams and grant applications.
Visit the ACRI website for more information.
