The Department of Radiation Oncology is proud to celebrate the recent accomplishments of Amie Brint, MD, PhD Student, and faculty members Dr. Ruud Dings and Dr. Robert Griffin, who were recognized during the Winter Award Ceremony this past Thursday.
Together, they were honored for their significant achievements:
- ASTRO Medical Student Fellowship: Recognizing outstanding research, with Dr. Griffin receiving a mentorship award.
- Research Supplement to Promote Diversity: A supplement to Dr. Dings’ R01 grant, with Dr. Dings receiving a mentorship award.
- FIRE Award: A prestigious honor given to graduate students whose funding awards cover 75% or more of their graduate school salary and expenses.
Amie expressed her gratitude for the mentorship and ongoing support provided by Dr. Dings, Dr. Griffin, and the entire department. These awards highlight the exceptional collaboration and dedication within our biology labs and the department as a whole.
