Micah Bowling, M.D., D.M.A., joined the Department of Radiation Oncology residency program in July 2024. Dr. Bowling has a background in music performance and received a Doctor of Musical Arts in multiple woodwind performance from the University of North Texas. His dissertation and related field focused on musician related health issues. Following this, Dr. Bowling decided to pursue a medical degree. He was president of his medical school class at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and graduated in 2023.
Dr. Bowling has varied clinical interests, including cutting-edge proton treatment for cancer care and providing evidence-based state of the art treatment to his patients.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also continues his love of music by performing in various local ensembles including the Little Rock Wind Symphony and his church orchestra.
