Dr. Sabouri holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in mathematics, physics and nuclear engineering from the University of British Columbia and McMaster University in Canada. He received his doctorate in nuclear reactor physics at the Laboratory of Subatomic Physics and Cosmology (LPSC/INPG/CNRS) in Grenoble, France. Dr. Sabouri completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he subsequently served as faculty, proton physicist and planner for LINAC-based stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).
Dr. Sabouri’s research interests include motion management, tumor tracking, lung motion models, adaptive radiotherapy and applications of dual energy CT for particle therapy. He is passionate about educational outreach as well as providing high-quality care for cancer patients.
