Dr. Su has being providing excellent clinical physics service to Radiation Oncology Departments for more than a decade. He is extremely active in clinical physics support to the clinic operation. Dr. Su is the lead physicist of many clinical programs, i.e., Intensity-modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) program, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) program, and Brachytherapy program.
Dr. Su has published close to 60 original research papers in peer-reviewed journals and a book chapter in proton therapy. His publications have appeared in high-impact radiation oncology and medical physics journals such as the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics, Medical Physics, Physics in Medicine and Biology. He served as the first author, senior author, and mid-ranked author as the physics lead in more than half of them. He also has more than 80 abstracts published in these journals from major radiation oncology and medical physics meetings and conferences.
In addition to mentoring medical physics residents and students, Dr. Su is dedicated to medical students and physician resident physics teaching
Dr. Su also serves in several positions at the national level. He serves on committees of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM). He is currently the vice chair of the Investment Advisory Committee. He is a member of the AAPM Finance Committee, Asian Oceanic Affair Subcommittee, Therapy Demand and Supply Projection Work Group. Dr. Su was recently appointed to committees of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the national membership organization for both radiation oncology physicians and physicists. He serves on the Finance/Audit Committee and Workforce Subcommittee.
