The MVP of the Month for August 2026 from the UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and the Primary Care and Population Health Service Line is Amber Strong. Amber is a charge nurse at the Maumelle Neighborhood Clinic and has been a valued member of Team UAMS for over 5 years!
Amber was recognized for the following:
- Her extraordinary dedication, resilience, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to both her patients and the success of the entire team.
- Over the course of several challenging months of staffing vacancies, Amber went far beyond the expectations of her role and consistently filled in the gaps while remaining dependable, focused, and committed to keeping the clinic running and ensuring that patients continued to receive the excellent care they deserve.
- Her willingness to take on whatever was needed. This willingness demonstrated a level of commitment that has been instrumental in keeping clinic operations going during an incredibly demanding period.
