The monthly MVP Award provides recognition of a DFPM/PCPHSL employee who demonstrates one or more of the following
- Exceptional patient care
- Kindness to co-workers
- Supporting a positive work culture
Any non-faculty employee of DFPM/PCPHSL can be nominated.
The MVP who is chosen for that month will receive
- A certificate of recognition
- Recognition coin
- Feature article in the DFPM Digest and PCPHSL Post newsletters
- Gift bag
- Honored at the annual DFPM/PCPHSL Chair’s Awards for Recognition of Excellence
MVP Nomination Process
Eligibility requirements
- Full or part time employees of DFPM or PCPHSL at any UAMS location (including remote).
- The PCPHSL includes Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Oral Health, Student and Employee Health Services, and the 12th Street Health and Wellness Center.
- If your nominee is not employed by the DFPM/PCPHSL, please nominate him/her for the UAMS MVP Award instead. Only DFPM/PCPHSL employees are eligible for this award.
- A person may win the DFPM/PCPHSL MVP Award only once.

- Faculty members are not eligible for nomination.
Be specific in the nomination
- Explain how the employee provided outstanding customer service, served as a role model, or contributed to a positive work environment in the department and/or service line.
- Describe the employee’s recent achievement(s) and the positive outcomes of the department, service line, and/or UAMS.
- Describe how the employee goes above and beyond the normal duties expected of the position.
MVP Award Winners will be announced on the 15th of each month.
The DFPM/PCPHSL Chair and/or Wellness Committee has the right to verify nomination content with the nominee’s supervisor.
