Research Support
Department of Family and Preventive Medicine faculty are actively involved in research and scholarly activities. Residents are encouraged and supported in research with several structured activities.
Our research focus is as diverse as our faculty and includes HIV prevention and LGBTQ clinical care, clinical and community-based prevention, obesity prevention and nutrition, patient-centered medical home, and quality improvement. Our research vision summarizes our goals.
Research Vision
Research diverse approaches to reducing health disparities and improving the health of Arkansans by ameliorating the consequences of social determinants of health including poverty, health illiteracy, and adverse childhood experiences on underserved populations.
