The MVP of the Month for September 2026 from the UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and the Primary Care and Population Health Service Line is Roxann Collins. Roxann works in referrals at the Texarkana Family Medicine Clinic and has been a valued member of Team UAMS for over 10 years!
Roxann was recognized for the following:
Her welcoming, upbeat, and positive attitude. Roxann welcomes new co-workers, faculty, and residents with a smile on her face and a story to tell helping them feel welcomed while teaching them the referral processes and always remaining kind and patient.
Always going above and beyond what is expected of her and helping with other needs in the clinic.
Showing kindness and compassion to all patients by acknowledging their needs and assisting them in any way that she can. Roxann may spend 20 minutes on the phone trying to help a patient on any given day. Her nominator described Roxann as “the epitome of what UAMS strives to be for their employees and their patients”.
Roxann will receive a certificate of recognition and a gift bag. She also will be honored during the annual DFPM Research Symposium.
