Electives in the Department of Psychiatry are offered to senior medical students only. All core (junior) clerkships must be completed prior to the start of an elective. Students from other accredited medical schools who wish to complete a psychiatry elective at UAMS should apply through the College of Medicine via the AAMC Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS). The VSAS site provides visiting-student eligibility requirements, contact information for the senior-year coordinator, housing resources, and rotation block schedules.
