Creating Surgical Leaders

The UAMS College of Medicine Department of Surgery has been training surgeons since 1880 with the goal of creating surgical leaders. Our graduates practice general and specialty surgery in a variety of settings. We provide experiences that allow our graduates to be equally comfortable entering general surgical practice in a small rural community or competing for a specialty surgical fellowship in a large academic medical center.
