Kelli Schmitz, M.D., has joined the Department of Radiology as an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Radiology. She received her medical degree from UAMS in 2000. Dr. Schmitz completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Florida Health Science Center/Shands Jacksonville in 2005. She continued her training, completing a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2006.
Prior to joining UAMS, Dr. Schmitz practiced for 12 years at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, where she served as a Clinical Associate Professor in the departments of Radiology and Pediatrics and as Director of Pediatric Ultrasound.
David Strain, M.D., has joined the Department of Radiology as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Interventional Radiology. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 2009. Dr. Strain completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2014. He continued his training, completing a fellowship in interventional radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 2015.
