Favorite thing about working with the IM residents?
I enjoy meeting and getting to know our residents. I want to help make a difference in the lives of our future healthcare workers so that they make a difference in the lives of others.
Favorite thing about living in Arkansas?
The true meaning of the Natural State – the hills, mountains, flat land, forestry, rain, snow, heat, humidity and cold. Arkansas has it all! My family and I take a trip to float the Buffalo River every year, it’s a must see!
What do you do outside of the hospital to relax/have fun?
My kids are my life! We spend a lot of time doing various indoor and outdoor activities. I love going to school events with my kids, as well as after school activities and sports. I enjoy reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. Summer is my favorite time of year; we spend it on the lake camping and going out on the boat. My favorite way to spend my weekends is with the whole family, grilling and watching football.
Favorite shows to binge-watch?
I love watching reality tv and true crime documentaries. Currently I’ve been binge watching Below Deck Mediterranean.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Every Thanksgiving we have a chili cook off, after voting we go around and tell everyone what we are thankful for that year. We’ve gotten some special announcements, all the way from pregnancy to retirement.
What is the best advice you’ve ever heard?
Don’t sweat the small stuff in life and make it a priority to spend time with the ones you love, because you never get that time back, especially when your kids are little.
