- The Section of Pediatric Neurology seeks a full-time general pediatric neurologist to join our team.
- Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the state’s only comprehensive children’s medical center. Care resources are deployed broadly across the state. The main campus in Little Rock is comprised of a 336-bed facility including a Level I trauma center; three ICUs and a Level 4 NICU.
- The pediatric neurology section at ACH is home to 15 physicians, three Ph.D. neuroscientists, two APRNs, and a child neurology residency program. The neurology section has a broad base of sub-specialization including an active Level 4 NAEC epilepsy center, Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy Certified Care Center; Cure SMA Center of Excellence as well as specialty clinics for spasticity, headaches, tics, neurodevelopmental disorders, demyelinating disorders and much more.
- Led by William Steinbach, M.D., the Department of Pediatrics is the largest department at UAMS and is dedicated to a collaborative, healthy culture and investing in faculty growth, which includes a dedicated mentoring program for junior faculty that aligns early career physicians with resources and institution leaders to provide coaching and guidance while fostering career advancement.
- Our faculty enjoys a diverse practice including inpatient service, outpatient clinic, teaching and research time, and clinic opportunities in our ACH Jonesboro Clinic.
- The patient mix includes a broad spectrum of neurologic disorders and acuity such as epilepsy, headache disorders, movement disorders, neurodevelopment, spasticity, and stroke with opportunities to focus on subspecialty areas of interest.
- The city of Little Rock doesn’t disappoint, offering plenty for outdoor enthusiasts, including great weather and numerous city parks with paved running/walking trails, bike paths, fishing, private and public golf courses, sports facilities, and picnic areas. - The compensation package for this role includes a competitive guaranteed salary (based on rank), a sign-on bonus, tremendous benefits and a retirement package that includes an institutional match program.

The Arkansas Children’s system includes two hospitals, a statewide care network of clinics and outreach programs, a research institute and a foundation. Arkansas Children’s is the only pediatric health system in the state of Arkansas, providing coverage to the state’s children from birth to age 21. The hospital staff consists of more than 500 faculty, 200 residents and 4,400 support staff.
